Job Summary

This role is responsible for conducting thorough reviews of medical records to ensure that hospitalizations are warranted based on established criteria and critical thinking.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct admission and continued stay reviews to determine the appropriateness of hospitalization
  • Collaborate with attending physicians, consultants, and Care Coordination staff to ensure compliance with evidence-based guidelines
  • Communicate with payers and other stakeholders to obtain admission and continued stay authorizations
  • Ensure timely communication and follow-up with physicians, payers, and other stakeholders regarding review outcomes
  • Collaborate with facility RN Care Coordinators to ensure progression of care
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Minimum two (2) years of acute hospital clinical experience or a Master's degree in Case Management or Nursing field in lieu of 1 year experience
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Washington
  • Certified Case Manager (CCM), Accredited Case Manager (ACM-RN), or UM Certification preferred
