About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced tax preparer to join our team at Jackson Hewitt. As a tax preparer, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to clients throughout the tax preparation process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and complete accurate tax-related forms for clients, including multiyear, multistate, and year-end tax forms.
  • Provide clients with IRS audit support and answer tax-related questions.
  • Conduct face-to-face tax interviews with clients and generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
  • Answer client calls via our national call center routing system and provide future tax planning to clients in a timely fashion.
  • Collect and process clients' payments while ensuring timely deposits.
  • Support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • 2+ seasons of previous tax experience.
  • Experience completing individual tax returns.
  • Passion for providing extraordinary customer service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Successful completion of the Jackson Hewitt Tax Knowledge Assessment.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field a plus.
  • CPA or Enrolled Agent license is a bonus.
