Job Summary

Corrigan Oil Co. is seeking a skilled Tow Truck Operator to join our team. As a Tow Truck Operator, you will be responsible for providing towing and roadside assistance services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a standard wrecker or flat bed to provide towing and roadside assistance services.
  • Comply with all DOT, Company, and Safety Policies, procedures, and practices at all times.
  • Load cargo as instructed and secure it for safe transport.
  • Maintain logs of hours and vehicle service and repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Work with dispatch to calculate efficient and effective driving routes.
  • Communicate with dispatch and safety regarding customer issues, vehicle issues, and other relevant matters.
  • Perform general maintenance of the truck, including checking oil and fuel levels.
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip requirements before and after each truck run.
  • Handle exposure to heavy traffic, dust, fumes, high and low temperatures, slippery surfaces, low-lighted work areas, and high noise levels.
  • May be required to drive in hazardous conditions, including inclement weather, tight quarters, and inner-city locations.
  • Able to read and navigate road maps and GPS systems and communicate via written orders and instructions.
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Chauffeur's License and 1+ year experience operating equipment preferred.
  • Pass pre-employment 7-year criminal background check.
