This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Oral Health Educator. The successful candidate will provide dental care services to patients at the Center for Family Medicine's FQHC programs.

**Key Functions:**

  • Teaching and Education:
    • Develop and facilitate core curriculum conferences on the integration of oral health and primary care.
    • Serve as a mentor for dental students and residents rotating through the Quincy or Pike County site.
  • Patient Care and Management:
    • Provide direct dental services to patients at the SIU CFM dental clinics in Adams and Pike Counties.
    • Supervise dental hygienists and dental assistants in the provision of dental care.
  • Research and Development:
    • Stay up-to-date on new developments and treatments by attending professional meetings.

**Essential Qualifications:**

  • Sensitivity to the needs of underrepresented minority and low-income populations.
  • Doctorate of Dental Surgery or Doctorate of Dental Medicine or in pursuit of such.
  • Licensed/License Eligible to Practice Dentistry in the State of Illinois.
