Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Specialist responsible for the overall maintenance of our physical properties and all related areas. If you are proactive, skilled in problem-solving, and committed to excellent customer service, we invite you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficient Task Execution: Prepare vacant units for occupancy and ensure completion of service repairs promptly and effectively.
- Exterior Maintenance: Perform daily trash collection, exterior light checks, landscape maintenance, custodial work, and snow removal as needed.
- OSHA Compliance: Maintain knowledge of and adhere to OSHA safety standards and company safety policies.
- Preventative Maintenance: Carry out preventative and scheduled maintenance, recording results as specified by the Company.
- On-Call Duty: Participate in and ensure a timely response to on-call emergencies for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Apartments Repairs: Execute repairs to apartments, including drywall, painting, appliance, electrical, and plumbing-related work.
- Carpentry Work: Perform tasks including fitting doors and windows, building shelves, and installing countertops.
- Resident Interaction: Respond to resident requests and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring a positive living experience.
- Professionalism: Maintain a positive attitude, professional appearance, and courteous disposition at all times.
- Communication: Report any unusual circumstances regarding residents, personnel, or the community to the Community Manager.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma/GED
- Experience: Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar industry (plumbing/HVAC) is highly preferred.
- License: A valid driver's license is required; CPO/EPA Certification is a plus but not required.
- Physical Requirements: Must frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds and occasionally more than 100 pounds.
- Work Environment: Regular exposure to outside ambient temperatures; occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, and toxic chemicals.
