Exercise Physiologist

At McLaren USA, we are seeking a highly skilled Exercise Physiologist to join our team in the MAC Cardiology noninvasive department.

The Exercise Physiologist will be responsible for analyzing patients' fitness levels to help them improve their health or maintain good health. This role will involve working with patients who have heart disease and other chronic conditions, such as diabetes or pulmonary disease, to help them regain their health. The Exercise Physiologist may also work with amateur and professional athletes to enhance their performance or aid in their recovery from injuries.

• Evaluate patients' overall health, with a focus on cardiovascular function and metabolism.
• Conduct diagnostic procedures, such as exercise stress tests, to assess patients' health.
• Develop personalized exercise prescriptions to increase physical fitness, strength, endurance, and flexibility.
• Design customized exercise programs to meet patients' healthcare needs and athletic performance goals.
• Administer exercise prescriptions to improve mobility and flexibility, hasten recovery from injury, and help patients live with disabilities.
• Advise patients on nutrition and ongoing exercise regimens, and may teach classes and conduct research.
• Provide quality, personalized, and evidence-based care and proven interventions.
• Evaluate the results of exercise programs by observing, noting, and evaluating patients' progress, and recommending and implementing adjustments and modifications.
• Ensure the operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

• Bachelor's degree in exercise science or physiology.
• BLS certification.
• Preferred: Certification through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and the American Society of Exercise Physiologists (ASEP). Master's degree.
