We are seeking a highly skilled Mobility Technician to join our team at Houston Methodist Hospital. As a Mobility Technician, you will play a critical role in assisting clinical staff and members of the interprofessional healthcare team in providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with mobility, infection control processes, and other delegated activities under the direct supervision of clinical staff.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas, assist with lifts, ambulating patients, and assist with wound care treatments.
- Plan and organize materials and supplies in the appropriate work areas prior to patient arrival.
- Assist with equipment inspection, maintenance, and storage, and supply procurement.
- Collaborate with the interprofessional team to ensure patient safety and customer service.
- High School diploma or equivalent education.
- One year Patient Care Assistant/Nursing Assistant work experience in an acute care hospital, long-term acute care hospital, or equivalent.
- BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA) certification.
