Job Summary

USA Health is seeking a skilled Electrophysiology Technician to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality patient hookups, ensuring accurate tracings, and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform quality patient hookups and assure accurate tracings in all channels recorded for all diagnostic procedures.
  • Use the international 10-20 system on all hookups, including marking and measuring.
  • Perform equipment and patient calibrations properly to ensure tracing accuracy.
  • Assess test being performed to add any necessary additional monitoring devices and/or montage changes to better enhance abnormalities.
  • Provide preliminary technical impressions of all procedures performed.
  • Maintain close visual, auditory, and mental attention to provide detailed observation of clinical events.
  • Demonstrate proper use of equipment according to department protocol and ASET guidelines.
  • Maintain complete and accurate patient log, files, charting, worksheets, order entry, and order completion.
  • Use activation procedures as needed for each individual patient.
  • Perform cleaning, inventory control, stocking of equipment and supplies.
  • Obtain pertinent patient information from Clinical Information Systems utilizing a PC.
  • Participate in new personnel orientation and abide by hospital policies and adhere to current Infection Control and Safety Standards.
  • Communicate and use appropriate customer relation skills with physicians, patients, families, and healthcare team in person and via the telephone.
  • Respond to overhead pages and utilize proper body mechanics when moving and positioning patients.
  • Access and accurately maintain paper and electronic medical records.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
