Job Summary:

As a Radiologic Technologist at Carilion Clinic, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality imaging services to patients of all ages. You will be responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures for radiological diagnosis or treatment, using computer processing skills, injection skills, and other related techniques to produce images for interpretation by a radiologist or other credentialed specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

Performs multi-modality procedures using computer processing skills, injection skills as needed, and other related techniques to produce images for interpretation by a radiologist or other credentialed specialist.
Applies knowledge of growth and development to appropriately care for all patients served.
Operates highly specialized, technical equipment to obtain quality images. Performs IV contrast injections and other skills as required.
Performs duties associated with processing patients, which may include scheduling, registration, file management and computer processing skills.
Evaluates, prepares, positions and observes patients with a high degree of professional ethics, care, courtesy, patience and safety.

Requirements:

High school graduate or GED and Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology, other associated Imaging technologies, or other approved training in Computerized Tomography required.
CT experience strongly preferred.
AARRT registry, registry eligible. If not registered in CT, must become CT registered within 2 years of hire date. AHA BLS-HCP required; May be required to obtain/maintain BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP based on specific work unit.
