Position Overview: As a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional care to patients recovering from surgery. Your commitment to patient well-being will be paramount as you ensure a safe and effective recovery process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive nursing care to patients in the PACU until they are ready for discharge.
- Prepare and maintain the patient care area, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Monitor patients closely, assessing vital signs and overall condition in accordance with established protocols.
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients using approved assessment tools, documenting findings as per facility guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Nursing or higher required.
- A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a clinical setting, with a preference for PACU, ICU, or surgical experience.
- Certification in PALS may be required within 30 days of hire.
