Job Title: Automotive Service Technician

At Sonic Automotive, we're committed to providing our customers with exceptional service and quality repairs. As an Automotive Service Technician, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our customers' vehicles are running smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform vehicle repairs and maintenance work as assigned, adhering to dealership and factory standards.
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle malfunctions, communicating with parts department to obtain necessary parts.
  • Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required, notifying service advisors of any additional work needed.
  • Document work performed and maintain accurate records.
  • Supervise work of apprentice technicians as assigned and attend factory-sponsored training classes to stay up-to-date on the latest technical bulletins.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • ASE or manufacturing training preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
  • Manual dexterity and good judgment essential.
