We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Geriatric Nursing Assistant to join our team at Fort Washington Healthcare Center. As a Geriatric Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities- Provide routine nursing and personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist residents with daily activities, such as eating, walking, and using the bathroom
- Monitor residents' health and report any changes or concerns to the nursing staff
- Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans for residents
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery
- Geriatric Nurse Aide Certification through the Maryland Board of Nursing
- Graduate of an approved Nurse Aide Training Program or be eligible to enter such a program and graduate and pass a state test within 120 days from date of employment
- High school graduate or G. E. D. equivalent
- Prior work/life experiences involving independent decision making
- Prior experience in a healthcare environment is desirable
