Responsibilities- Scheduling: Communicate with providers, patients, and hospital staff to schedule surgeries, procedures, and appointments efficiently.
- Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with all parties involved, ensuring everyone is informed and on the same page.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve any scheduling conflicts or issues that arise, ensuring minimal disruption to patient care.
- Attention to Detail: Accurately enter and manage scheduling information, keeping meticulous records to maximize surgeon time.
- Organization: Manage multiple priorities and facilitate efficient patient and workflow within the clinic.
- Authorization: Obtain necessary authorizations for surgeries and procedures.
- Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance benefits and ensure all necessary information is accurate.
- Financial Estimates: Create financial estimates for patients and ensure they are informed of any costs involved.
- Payment Verification: Confirm that payment has been made at least 72 hours prior to surgery.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in surgery scheduling, preferably in an Ob/Gyn setting.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, superior organizational skills, and proficiency in obtaining authorizations, verifying insurance benefits, and creating financial estimates.
