We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Hillsboro Medical Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Perform transthoracic echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, and transesophageal echocardiograms under the indirect supervision of a cardiologist.
- Assess and prepare patients for procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the examination.
- Conduct testing, adjusting equipment controls and modifying images to demonstrate anatomy, physiology, hemodynamics, and/or pathology accurately.
- Record images for review by cardiologists and provide measurements, estimates, angles, and guidance as needed during certain procedures.
- Utilize ultrasound and contrast agents to view cardiac structures and wall motion/perfusion, monitoring patients and their response.
- Report pertinent findings to cardiologists and arrange images of exam findings for patient medical records.
- Associate's degree in Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Technology or Ultrasound from an approved and accredited program OR equivalent combination of education, formal training, and work experience.
- Board Certification or eligibility for certification through one of the following organizations: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).
- Sonographer license issued by Oregon Board of Medical Imaging.
- American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Epic EMR experience.
- Bilingual skills.
