We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at Brave New World Services. As a key member of our technical support team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' photolithography equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, calibrate, and maintain semiconductor process equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor and inspect equipment to prevent and minimize malfunctions, escalating advanced repairs as needed.
  • Document maintenance activities and provide regular reports to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Manage stock levels of service parts and equipment to ensure adequate inventory for repair work.
  • Provide training and assistance to technicians and may offer basic instruction to customers.
  • Participate in ongoing technical training to expand expertise and stay up-to-date with industry developments.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 0-2 years of related work experience in electromechanical fields, preferably in semiconductor equipment companies or technical positions in engineering.
  • May require up to 50% travel, with a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record necessary.
  • Requires proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Position may involve travel to other offices or customer sites within the US, with occasional overseas travel as needed.
  • Requires ability to work flexible shifts and lift up to 30 pounds individually, with assistance available for heavier lifting.
  • Substantial amount of standing, walking, typing, grasping, talking, and hearing required.
  • Substantial amount of driving required, sometimes for multiple hours at a time.
  • Occasional kneeling, crouching, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and climbing stairs or ladders.
  • The worker must have close visual acuity with or without corrective lenses for extensive reading, visual inspection, and operation of machines.
  • Working primarily in a cleanroom environment, wearing full cleanroom suits, facemasks, gloves, and safety glasses.
  • The work environment may include proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to chemicals, ultraviolet light, and lasers, working in enclosed spaces, close quarters, narrow aisles, or passageways.
  • The work environment may involve highly time-sensitive situations requiring quick resolution, including equipment problems.
