Diabetes Specialist Physician Opportunity

As a Diabetes Specialist Physician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating various medical conditions, developing and implementing comprehensive treatment plans, and conducting thorough medical examinations and histories. Effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams is crucial, as well as providing clear and concise medical information and fostering a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare.
The ideal candidate will possess American Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Endocrinology and a valid, unrestricted state medical license. A strong understanding of medical advancements and best practices is essential, as is the ability to stay abreast of changing regulations and compliance requirements.
This role offers a competitive salary of $111.54 - $123.08 per hour, commensurate with experience, plus excellent benefits including relocation assistance, 36 days of paid time off, CME allowance, and more. Lincoln, with its population of approximately 300,000, offers a safe and friendly Midwest lifestyle, only 45 minutes from Omaha and home to the University of Nebraska and the State Capital.
- Patient Care: Diagnose and treat various medical conditions, develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, conduct thorough medical examinations and histories
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, provide clear and concise medical information, foster a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans, ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations
- Diagnostic Procedures: Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging, perform procedures as needed, collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals, participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions, provide consultative services to other healthcare providers
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives, review and analyze clinical outcomes for continuous improvement, implement changes to enhance patient care and safety
