Job Summary

CHS Inc. is a leading global agribusiness that provides grain, food, and energy resources to businesses and consumers worldwide. We are seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our Information Technology group and support our Country Operations and Distribution efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement technical solutions that meet business needs and provide value to our partners.
  • Analyze business strategy and user requirements to document specifications and translate business objectives into system requirements.
  • Guide business customers through business case development for new applications and functionality, including cost-benefit analysis and risk-impact analysis.
  • Deliver value through benefits realization, cost avoidance, and identification of new opportunities.
  • Focus on continuous improvement of business processes and underlying technologies.
  • Support, test, and enhance moderately complex information systems and develop error management functionality.
  • Take ownership of system development, QA, and acceptance testing of projects.
  • Provide test plans, test cases, and perform functional testing to ensure proper user acceptance.
  • Provide new user training on supported applications as requested.
  • Work closely with IT organizations to drive projects to successful completion.
  • Provide overall application support and ownership for applications in the business portfolio.
  • Coordinate IT activities and ensure secondary resources are defined and trained to support applications.
  • Minimize application support load by refining error management and moving initial triage to first-level support staff.
  • Proactively maintain an understanding of business processes.
  • Collaborate with other Business Units to identify and deliver Enterprise value.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in IT Business Systems Analysis, including requirements definition, business process definition, strong documentation, and development and support of integrated business applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in Production Agriculture Retail Operations.
  • Experience working with Grain, Energy, and Agronomy business applications.
  • General knowledge of system development methodologies.
  • Experience with Microsoft development platforms.
  • Business Intelligence (BI) experience.
  • Business Analysis and/or Project Management Certification.
