Key Responsibilities
  • Provide temporary staffing during meetings and special events
  • Sort, collate, and assemble convention packets or bags, register attendees, operate badge checkers/scanner, provide human arrow directional assistance, provide payment processing, and answer phone inquiries
  • Perform related duties as directed when such duties are a logical and appropriate assignment to the position
  • Timely attendance is required for this position
  • Interact professionally and respectfully with the public, coworkers, and others in the course of daily work
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Excellent customer service and hospitality skills
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work for long hours and stand for extended periods of time (minimum of four hours at a time)
  • Comfortable using assorted technology and computer software, i.e. Laptop or Desktop Computers, iPads, Microsoft Office Suite, Payment Processing Software, and Scanning Equipment
  • Bilingual or multi-lingual skills are desirable (Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, Japanese, Chinese)
  • Ability to work various times, including some nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Expected to work between 150 to 1,000 hours per calendar year
  • Must pass a Federal/National criminal background check
  • Must have a valid Texas driver's license with an acceptable driving record as defined by city policy
  • Ability to pass typing test of 30 WPM
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
