Position Summary
• Lead multiple initiatives focused on the architecture and development of a sophisticated Middleware ecosystem utilizing IBM HTTP Server and WebSphere Application Server tailored for z/OS.
• Responsible for the Installation, Configuration, Support, and Troubleshooting of WebSphere Application Server on z/OS.
• Provide Production Support for the WebSphere Application environment on z/OS.
• Implement WebSphere RACF security measures, including access and role configurations.
• Administer WebSphere Application Server and possess a solid understanding of IBM mainframe Operating Systems.
• Facilitate web server integration with WebSphere Application Server.
• Oversee the installation and configuration of WebSphere Application Servers and associated Web Servers.
• Design and implement Load Balancing, High Availability, and Disaster Recovery strategies.
• Manage Environment Integrations with various interfaces and third-party applications.
• Set up new environments, perform configurations, and execute version upgrades using Installation Manager.
• Support the deployment of new applications across Development, Quality Assurance, and Production environments.
• Utilize monitoring tools and other third-party applications to ensure system health and operational uptime.
• Conduct performance analysis, tuning, and optimization activities.
• Execute customization and custom XML configurations as needed.
• Coordinate the installation, updates, and patches for security vulnerabilities and bug fixes.
• Set up and configure web servers as required.
• Stay informed about industry best practices for WebSphere Application Server on z/OS.
