This position is designed for weekends, specifically Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 7:30 am to 8:00 pm, with additional shift differentials on top of the hourly base rate.
As a Psychiatric Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive psychiatric nursing support. Our methodology focuses on tailored interventions aimed at delivering suitable care for each individual client, assisting them in achieving the objectives outlined in their personalized wellness plan. Our clientele includes a diverse age range, from preadolescents (ages 3-12) to adults aged 18 and older, including seniors. To excel in this position, you must be comfortable engaging closely with individuals experiencing acute behavioral health challenges. This is a full-time, benefit-eligible role, requiring 36 hours of work each week on the specified weekend schedule.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - POSITION SPECIFIC
• Deliver age-appropriate care for psychiatric patients
• Engage in physical activities such as bending, lifting, and transporting patients
• Facilitate patient group sessions
• Complete a minimum of 52 educational activities annually
• Provide constructive feedback to enhance patient care during peer evaluations
• Serve as a preceptor and mentor for new team members as necessary
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team by sharing patient insights and recommendations
• Maintain effective communication with patients and colleagues
