About the Role: We are looking for a proficient and knowledgeable Cloud Infrastructure Administrator to become a vital part of our IT department. The ideal candidate should possess 3 to 5 years of experience in technical support, particularly in an Amazon Web Services (AWS) framework. This position entails delivering technical assistance to users regarding end-user computing, hardware, and software, while also maintaining and supporting AWS servers and overseeing IT helpdesk operations.
**Local Candidates Only - The selected candidate will initially work onsite full-time for the first three months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance to users for hardware, software, and application-related challenges.
- Administer and sustain AWS servers, ensuring peak performance and security measures are in place.
- Oversee IT helpdesk operations, including addressing user inquiries and resolving IT-related challenges.
- Monitor and diagnose server issues within the AWS ecosystem.
- Assist in the deployment and management of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, KMS, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
- Create and maintain scripts and programs for AWS management utilizing languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
- Collaborate with the IT team to integrate new technologies and enhance existing systems.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures regarding IT and data security.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in IT support, managing technical issues related to hardware, software, and applications.
- Demonstrated experience working within an AWS environment where servers are hosted.
- Strong comprehension and practical experience with AWS services, including:
- EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud)
- S3 (Simple Storage Service)
- RDS (Relational Database Service)
- KMS (Key Management Service)
- CloudFormation
- CloudWatch
- Scripting and programming for AWS (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- AWS Support services
- Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with IT helpdesk operations and user support.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator).
- Experience with network configuration and security protocols.
- Familiarity with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) methodologies.
