ABOUT OUR DEPARTMENT:


At Rochester Regional Health, our orthopedic teams are dedicated to restoring patients' functionality and providing lasting relief. Our approach includes both non-surgical and surgical options tailored to individual recovery goals, which may involve comprehensive consultations, physical therapy, minimally invasive procedures, and orthopedic surgeries such as joint replacements or tendon repairs.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Orthopedic field, you play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the success of our operations.


POSITION STATUS:
Full-time

WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

KEY ATTRIBUTES:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Patient Care & Service: Enhance and restore patients' health by executing the nursing process; collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams; perform various treatment procedures; provide physical, educational, and emotional support to patients and their families; supervise assigned team members.
- Medication Administration & Reporting: Administer medications and communicate relevant reports, both written and verbal, in accordance with departmental protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain clear, relevant, and complete documentation using computerized medical records.
- Preparation: Ensure clinical areas are well-stocked and exam rooms are ready for use.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Medium Work - Involves exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; requires frequent walking, standing, or squatting.


CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)
- LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

COMPENSATION:
$29.75 per hour
The listed base pay range reflects a good faith representation of potential base pay for successful candidates. Compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contractual agreements.
