Job Summary

Sambazon Inc is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to develop, implement, manage, and optimize third-party logistics (3PL) processes, programs, and project initiatives. The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the 4 key areas of freight: Production, Customer, International Customer, and International Ocean Freight to the US.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and management of 3PL processes, programs, and project initiatives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize freight operations, including freight routing, mode selection, and tendering.
  • Communicate with cross-functional teams, including Supply Planning, Logistics Management, Sales, and Customer Service, to ensure seamless fulfillment and issue resolution.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as invoice approvals, routing, tracking, and completing BOLs, Pick-up Sheets, and related documents.
  • Negotiate claims and shortages with carriers and third-party warehouses.
  • Specialize in Costco US and international freight, including load tenders, consolidation, and working with international freight forwarders.
  • Assist with implementing, maintaining, and growing a domestic TMS platform launching in 2024.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • Three plus years of experience in logistics, ocean freight, rail, supply chain, or a combination of experience in these preferred areas.
  • Strong knowledge of Less Than Truck Load (LTL) and international freight regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
