Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Experimental Physicist/ System Design Engineer to join our Research and Development team at KLA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing novel metrology technologies for film stacks and critical dimensions measurements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop optical systems from concept to prototype, including theoretical study, architecture analysis, and setup development.
  • Operate sophisticated equipment and engage with leading suppliers for component and subsystem prototyping.
  • Derive system specifications by performing error budgets and system-level analysis, including sensitivity and tolerance analysis.
  • Collaborate with peers and cross-functional teams to solve technology and performance limiters.
Requirements
  • Theoretical knowledge in Physical Optics, optical systems, lasers, plasma sources, detectors, and image sensors.
  • Deep technical understanding in HW technologies and Systems Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience in design, specification, and development of sophisticated electro-optical setups.
  • Analytical skills, able to develop a system model and perform system error budget analysis.
  • Data collection and analysis using MATLAB/Python/LabVIEW.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience in development and prototyping of components, subsystems, and devices.
  • Representative, able to present technical reviews and drive decision-making.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor process and process control is an advantage.
  • Experience with X-ray, DUV, VIS-IR metrology systems is a strong advantage.
