Job Title: CDL Driver - Bilingual Japanese/English

At Roberts Hawaii, we are seeking a highly skilled CDL Driver with bilingual Japanese/English language skills to join our team. As a CDL Driver, you will be responsible for providing safe and efficient transportation to our customers while promoting the Spirit of Aloha.

Job Summary:

The CDL Driver will operate a bus or vehicle defensively in accordance with traffic regulations, observing traffic lights, other vehicles, and pedestrians to avoid accidents. The driver will also be responsible for ensuring all vehicles are clean and well-presented at all times and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain and maintain current documentation as required by DOT regulations
  • Perform pre-trip inspections of vehicles and complete a Driver's Inspection Report
  • Provide narrations and announcements in a clear and friendly manner as instructed
  • Assist passengers with special needs and secure wheelchairs
  • Label and load luggage according to destination as needed
  • Report counts, changes, and destination to Dispatcher
  • Perform post-trip inspections and refuel vehicles
Requirements:
  • Minimum age of 21 years old
  • Knowledge of local streets and hotel locations
  • Able to read, speak, and understand English
  • Valid Driver's License (CDL A or B with P endorsement preferred)
  • Ability to perform simple math functions and work under deadlines and pressure
Working Conditions:

The CDL Driver will work in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions. The driver will be required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods and exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally.
