Job Summary:

Hikma Pharmaceuticals is seeking a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee the critical utility systems at our Cherry Hill site. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to ensure the reliability and efficiency of all facility and process-related equipment and services.
  • Manage the administration, development, implementation, integration, and ongoing operation of critical utility systems, including Plant Steam, Clean Steam, Chillers, Oil Free Air, WFI, Hot Water, HVAC, and Building Management Systems.
  • Provide necessary support to production and facility personnel to address all compliance issues and ensure equipment is maintained at a level required to provide high reliability and maximize useful life.
  • Proactively work with engineering to identify multi-year equipment replacement needs and develop and implement changes to the PM program to ensure full compliance.
  • Prepare department budgets for operating the Facilities Maintenance department, including the PM program, and maintain costs within budgeted expenses.
  • Identify and manage the need for capital investment in equipment replacement and direct, administer, and coordinate the activities of exempt and non-exempt personnel.
  • Train, guide, develop, and evaluate personnel in the interpretation of company policies, goals, and objectives.
  • Maintain an adequate workforce to support present needs and plan for departmental requirements in the future.
  • Manage the daily activities associated with the Energy Program, HEPA Recertification Program, and BMS/EMAS Systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of management experience of a technical group.
  • Five years in a maintenance or engineering environment with demonstrated communication skills, technical knowledge, and an ability to deal with the ambiguities associated with the position.
  • Working knowledge of cGMPs as they relate to a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility and demonstrated knowledge of pharmaceutical facilities, equipment, and utilities, inclusive of their design, installation, and operation.

Preferred Skills:

  • Working knowledge of industrial maintenance practices and technical writing and excellent communication skills as they relate to a manufacturing environment.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to use Project Management techniques and tools in the management of multiple engineering projects.
