About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Jabbergym, a well-established organization dedicated to providing exceptional services to children with disabilities. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping children achieve their full potential and reach their educational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and assess the educational needs of referred students in the areas of perceptual-motor skills, motor coordination, self-care, sensory development, fine motor, muscle strength, range of motion, postural reflexes, and vocational skills.
  • Develop and provide direct treatment programs and consultation services for eligible students with disabling conditions, aged birth to 22, aimed at improving identified areas of weakness as they relate to the student's educational needs.
  • Complete annual and triennial reviews of enrolled students as assigned.
  • Provide discipline-specific consultation/coaching to other direct-care staff and caregivers.
  • Complete necessary documentation in a timely manner and attend/assist in meetings as requested.
Requirements
  • Master's degree from an accredited school or program.
  • Current Board of Occupational Therapy license issued by the state of California.
  • Current Registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • One year of experience providing occupational therapy services for children from age 5 to 22, in a school setting working with a multi-disciplinary team, a plus.
