Special Education Instructor

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at New Story School. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with special needs.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Monitor and assess student progress, making adjustments as needed to ensure students meet their educational goals.
- Collaborate with support staff, including paraprofessionals and parents, to build a positive and welcoming learning environment.
- Advocate for students with disabilities, ensuring compliance with all necessary laws and regulations.
- Foster a positive classroom environment where every student feels engaged and can succeed.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and career advancement opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in special education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with special needs.
