The Hospitalist group at Pennsylvania Hospital serves as expert educators and mentors to the next generation of physicians. To excel in this role, candidates should have a strong interest in medical student and resident education.
As a Hospitalist, your primary responsibilities will include direct patient care on various services, such as teaching services, non-teaching services, observation medicine service, and consult/co-management service. The hospital has a closed ICU with an open Intermediate Critical Care Unit, requiring occasional procedures.
To be successful in this position, candidates should possess a Medical degree or foreign equivalent, Board certification in Internal or Family Medicine, and eligibility for a PA medical license. Passage of USMLE 1, 2, and 3, as well as a DEA license/registration, are also required.
