Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Fleet Technician II to join our team at Sysco North Dakota, Inc. in Fargo, ND. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on our fleet of vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances to maximize safety, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Perform FAI/CVI inspections on all fleet vehicles, including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, and light-duty vehicles, in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems, using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Work efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines and minimize downtime, while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless communication and coordination of maintenance activities.
Requirements
  • Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training and a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current and valid driver's license.
  • ASE certifications in Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks (preferred).
  • Knowledge of computer-based diagnostic software and ability to learn new systems quickly.
