Job Summary

As a CT Technologist at Kootenai Health, you will play a vital role in taking cross-sectional x-ray images of patients' bodies. This position requires a high level of technical skill and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain patient history and explain procedures to patients
  • Operate computerized tomography scanners to produce high-quality images
  • Perform a variety of tasks, including preparing patients and equipment for imaging procedures
  • Work under general supervision and demonstrate a high level of independence and autonomy
  • Meet age-specific needs of patients and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Completion of an AMA-approved School of Radiology Technology
  • ARRT certification in Radiography and/or Radiation Therapy, and/or Certification in Nuclear Medicine through the NMTCB
  • CT certification within one year of employment
  • BLS certification
Working Conditions
  • Lift and move up to 35 pounds
  • Stand and/or sit for extended periods
  • Use typical equipment used in a clinical job
  • Stoop, crouch, or bend as needed
  • Pull, push, or transport heavy equipment
