Community Human Services (CHS) is a dedicated nonprofit organization committed to providing essential support to families in Monterey County. We are currently seeking qualified individuals to fill the role of Supervised Visitation Monitor within our Supervised Visitation Program. This program operates from our Family Service Centers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct services in the Supervised Visitation Program, catering to families referred by the court, probation, parole, or through self-referral.
- Oversee visitations typically scheduled from 4 PM to 8 PM on weekdays, and from 8 AM to 5 PM on weekends. **Availability on weekends is essential.
- Maintain and produce necessary documentation, including detailed reports for court proceedings.
- Conduct initial assessments and intakes for families.
- Collect fees and issue receipts as required.
Additional Duties:
Light cleaning and sanitization of visitation areas.
CHS Requirements:
- Bilingual candidates are preferred.
- Experience or knowledge in working with families facing custody challenges and significant transitions.
- Familiarity with child and elder abuse laws (mandated reporter status).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated cultural awareness and sensitivity.
Legal and Confidentiality Standards:
- Must fulfill qualifications as outlined by California State legislation.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 24 hours of Supervised Visitation training (as per family code).
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- No DUI convictions within the past five years.
- No probation or parole status in the last 10 years.
- No convictions related to child molestation, child abuse, or other offenses against individuals.
- No civil, criminal, or juvenile restraining orders in the last decade.
- Must inform the supervisor of any personal relationships with clients prior to service provision.
Compensation:
Hourly pay ranges from $23.28 to $28.29, with an additional 5% stipend for bilingual candidates.
