Machinist Technician

Job Summary:

The Harris Products Group, a leading manufacturer of industrial equipment, is seeking a skilled Machinist Technician to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating machine tool equipment, selecting and securing holding fixtures, and participating in safety trainings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate machine tool equipment, including mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers.
• Select and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials.
• Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors, such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut.
• Participate in safety trainings and demonstrate a high regard for safety at all times.
• Communicate effectively with lead supervisors and team members.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Experience setting up and operating manual lathes, surface grinders, manual milling machines, and boring mills.
• Prefer experience setting up and operating CNC milling machines.
• Must provide own tools.
• Strong attendance record with flexibility to work overtime if needed.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
