Position: Staff Accountant

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to contribute significantly to our accounting functions. You will collaborate closely with the Senior Accounting Manager to oversee financial documentation, ledger maintenance, data interpretation, and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Your role will be essential in facilitating month-end and year-end closing activities, as well as financial audits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and record journal entries, adjustments, and accruals
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and intercompany transactions
  • Manage accounts payable processes
  • Generate and send customer invoices, oversee collections
  • Analyze financial documents including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal policies
  • Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation
  • Conduct variance analysis and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Maintain records for fixed assets and depreciation schedules
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting efforts
  • Respond to accounting inquiries and requests
  • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies
  • Stay informed on updates to accounting standards and regulations
  • Perform additional accounting duties as required
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • A minimum of two years of experience in accounting or auditing
  • CPA certification is preferred
  • Proficient in Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Oracle
  • Familiarity with GAAP, tax regulations, and accounting principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure
