EAD Management Services Inc. is seeking a Drafter to create and deliver high-quality CAD drawings for a multi-disciplinary core team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed, high-quality drawings for industrial construction projects based on engineering sketches and design proposals.
  • Create layouts that illustrate the functional relationships of equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineers and specialists to interpret design concepts and identify the necessary detailed working drawings for effective project execution.
  • Review sketches, drawings, and specifications from architects and other engineering professionals, and design, draft, and implement modifications to plans as needed.
  • Generate comprehensive designs for construction projects in accordance with engineering sketches and design proposals.
  • Exhibit flexibility and adaptability to revise designs to rectify operational deficiencies or to identify and mitigate project interferences.
  • Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to achieve results within budget and schedule constraints.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and practices established by EAD Management Services Inc.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in a Drafting-related field or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with AutoCAD software.
  • Strong knowledge of drafting practices and procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications, as well as architectural, electrical, and mechanical plans.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient in setting priorities and organizing work to meet project deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, including macros.

Preferred Skills and Certifications:

  • 2 years of experience in mechanical drafting is preferred.
  • Experience with equipment general arrangements and electrical schematics is a plus.

Work Environment:

  • Office, plant, or client site settings.
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Capability to navigate multiple flights of stairs/ladders and work in confined spaces under varying conditions.
  • May be required to work near moving mechanical parts and equipment.
  • Office, commercial, or industrial environments with potential exposure to fumes or airborne particles, as well as toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • Occasional weekend, holiday, or evening work may be necessary.
  • Travel may be required.
