Job Title: LVN Charge Nurse

Regency Integrated Health Services is seeking a skilled and compassionate LVN Charge Nurse to join our team at Ebony Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brownsville, TX.

Job Summary:

The LVN Charge Nurse will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our residents. As a leader on our nursing team, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of care plans, administering medications, and conducting rounds with physicians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Observe, assess, document, and report resident condition/changes during rounds
  • Assure implementation of care plans as directed by physicians and nursing staff
  • Administer medications as prescribed by physicians
  • Conduct rounds with physicians and record visits in clinical records
  • Perform narcotic reconciliation with incoming and outgoing shifts
  • Identify significant changes in resident condition and take necessary action per facility policies and procedures
  • Oversee and monitor aides to ensure high-quality care
  • Initiate and complete Incident and Accident Reports per facility policy
  • Discharge residents per facility policy
  • Communicate with resident's point of contact when they ask for a status update or if there is a change in condition
Requirements:
  • Active Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of Texas in good standing
  • Experience working in a skilled nursing facility is preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, and healthcare team members
