Hospice Nurse

The On-Call Hospice RN is responsible for providing exceptional care and support to hospice patients and their families in the comfort of their own homes and various nursing facilities. This role requires a flexible schedule, with on-call duties running daily from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 a.m. every other week. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their loved ones.
Responsibilities and Duties- Provide on-call support after agency hours for hospice patients and families, addressing comfort, symptom management, medication management, DME needs, admissions, discharges, and proper documentation.
- Collaborate with the hospice interdisciplinary team and facilities to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Utilize excellent time management skills, multitasking abilities, and a self-starting attitude to excel in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain current clinical skills, flexibility, professionalism, and tactfulness in all interactions.
- Hold valid CPR certification and a current driver's license with insurance coverage.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current licensure by the Ohio State Board of Nursing.
- Self-starter with excellent time management skills, ability to multitask, and dependable work ethic.
- Current clinical skills, flexibility, professionalism, and tactfulness.
- CPR certification required.
- Valid driver's license and current driver's insurance coverage.
