Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC). As a key member of our Maternal Child Health department, you will provide high-quality patient care to expectant mothers and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to assigned patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
  • Develop and implement individualized nursing plans of care, incorporating scientific and psychosocial principles to support patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and evidence-based care.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree from an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • Current registration with the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses as a Registered Nurse.
  • Completion of "Healthcare Provider" CPR course, bi-annually.
  • 2 year Registered Nurse experience required in the specific specialty area.
