Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse Surgical ICU position at Las Palmas Medical Center requires a highly skilled and experienced nurse who can provide direct patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures. As a member of our surgical ICU team, you will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and coordinate treatment plans.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and coordinate treatment plans
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
To be eligible for this position, you must have:
- RN licensure in the state of Texas or Compact State
- BCLS certification
- ACLS certification (6 months from hire for GN's only)
While not required, we prefer candidates with:
- Experience as a RN in Critical Care
- Experience as a RN 1-2 years in Med-Surg or Telemetry
- BSN degree
- TNCC and CCRN certifications
- Effective communication skills
- Computer skills
- Ability to work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to move an excess of 100 pounds with assistance from other staff
