Salary Information
The estimated annual salary for this position is $83,500 - $110,000, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Orthopedic and Adult Advanced Acute Care Unit team at Geisinger Community Medical Center. As an LPN, you will contribute to the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, promoting adaptive responses of patients and families to achieve the highest level of patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute data to assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards.
- Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
- Reinforce patient and family education, family needs, and discharge planning throughout hospitalization.
- Provide direct patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies, according to policy and procedure.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions and plan of care based on patient response to interventions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Nursing
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Licensed Practical Nurse certification
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
