About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Solutions Architect to join our team at the Ohio Department of Health. As a key member of our Office of Management Information Systems, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing strategic IT solutions that support the agency's mission and goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead complex IT initiatives to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Collaborate with IT staff, CIO, and IT Managers to design solutions that meet agency requirements
  • Review application security scans and work with development teams to mitigate vulnerabilities
  • Develop architecture whitepapers and design documents for application project initiatives
  • Provide focused research and analysis to support IT discipline/program teams
Requirements
  • Core undergraduate program in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 4 years combined work experience in IT, including 2 years technology-related work experience
  • Experience with Azure Environment, infrastructure strategy, business continuity/disaster recovery strategy, identity and security strategy, and authentication
  • Strong understanding of IT principles, methods, and practices, as well as technical writing and documentation practices
