Position Overview:Are you a licensed Nail Technician in New York State with a wealth of experience? If so, consider the opportunity to educate aspiring professionals in the Nail industry. In this role, you will prepare students for the New York State licensing examination while nurturing their creativity and skills in the vibrant world of nails.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging lectures to students
- Guide students through the written and practical components of the NYS licensing exam
- Instruct students on essential safety and sanitation practices within the Nail industry
- Evaluate students through written and practical assessments
- Create a supportive learning environment where students can practice on models
Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid cosmetology or Nail Technician license
- Prior experience in teaching or training within cosmetology or nail technology is advantageous but not mandatory
Skills Required:
- Exceptional communication abilities
- Strong organizational capabilities
- Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively
- Proficiency in demonstrating and instructing various techniques related to cosmetology and esthetics
Job Type: Part-time
Compensation: $22.00 per hour
Expected Work Hours: 20 hours per week
