About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician 2 to join our team at Target. As a key member of our Engineering and Facilities team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment, including conveyor systems, sortation, robotics, and Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS)
  • Adjust and repair scanners, cameras, field buses, scales, and printer applicators
  • Clean, lubricate, and calibrate equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Use job plans, procedures, and manuals to guide maintenance activities
  • Maintain and troubleshoot motors, photo eyes, relays, proximity sensors, solenoids, motor starters, tachometers, encoders, and other electrical and electronic components
  • Assist with basic electronics and Programmable Logic Controls troubleshooting
  • Conduct maintenance and basic troubleshooting of industrial robots
  • Utilize handheld devices and asset management system mobile apps to create and close work orders
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Follow safety procedures and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while maintaining equipment
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Possess or ability to obtain a valid driver's license
  • PC competency and ability to use mobile apps on handheld devices
  • Familiarity with wiring diagrams, symbols, and electrical measuring
  • Experience in work order management, preventive/predictive maintenance procedures, basic blueprint and schematic reading, electrical and electronic principles, basic metal fabrication and welding, industrial controls and electronics, and programmable logic control (PLC) programs
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field
  • 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field
  • Experience with automated conveyor systems and controls
  • Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards
  • Experience with robotic operation/maintenance
