This pivotal role is essential in advancing our brand narrative and ensuring our content resonates effectively with our target demographic. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership capabilities and a fervor for creativity and storytelling.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership (50%):
- Guide the content and creative team in producing compelling, engaging, and brand-aligned content across diverse platforms.
- Collaborate with the marketing team and coordinate with sales and recruitment teams to align content initiatives with overarching business objectives.
- Work closely with marketing to weave content into broader marketing campaigns and strategies.
- Partner with marketing operations to prioritize and manage projects within established timelines.
- Oversee a team of writers and designers, managing relationships with freelance and contract professionals.
- Identify content gaps and explore innovative opportunities to enhance awareness, engagement, and conversion.
Content Development (25%):
- Lead the production of high-quality, engaging content across multiple channels, including websites, social media, email, and other digital platforms.
- Supervise the creation of written, visual, and multimedia content, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and audience resonance.
Creative Oversight (25%):
- Provide creative direction and mentorship.
- Develop original concepts based on established voice and tone, collaborating with writers on copy execution.
- Work with designers, writers, and other creative professionals to generate innovative and impactful content.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in content marketing and creative design.
- Proactively seek opportunities to innovate and differentiate our content and creative strategies in the marketplace.
Additional Responsibilities:
- May engage in special projects or other duties as assigned.
Supervisory and Budgetary Responsibilities:
- Manage direct reports and operations team.
- Oversee a team budget exceeding $100,000.
- Engage with customers, clients, partners, or providers outside of the organization as necessary.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in B2B and B2C marketing and/or marketing operations management.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing effective content strategies that enhance brand awareness, engagement, and conversion.
- Strong creative vision with the ability to translate ideas into compelling content across various formats and channels.
