Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Electronics Assembly Technician to join our team at Akka-Technologies. As an Electronics Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability in soldered connections, vital for the enduring performance and integrity of electronic assemblies in critical applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute Solder Assignments: Fabricate parts or components, employing basic hand tools, specialized fasteners, soldering irons, and measuring devices.
- Adhere to Written Work Instructions: Precision is key in following written work instructions, process sheets, and drawings.
- Conduct Hand Soldering Operations: Utilize scopes, and undertake preparatory tasks such as wire cutting, stripping, twisting, tinning, and soldering on Through Hole, SMT, or Flex products.
- Perform Parts Cleaning and Manual Component Placement: Utilize in-line clean, hand clean, or vapor degreaser methods during production.
- Ensure Accurate Measurement and Recording: Adhere strictly to ESD procedures and accurately measure and record product data.
- Operate Soldering Equipment: Potentially operate solder waves, selective solder machines, and surface mount equipment.
Requirements:
- Education: High School education or equivalent qualifications.
- Experience: Prior manufacturing experience, ideally with proficiency in microscope soldering or holding IPC-610 & J-STD certificates.
- Certifications: Commitment to obtaining J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 certifications to qualify for the Solder position.
- Skills: Strong ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions, as well as interpret blueprints.
- Physical Demands: Capability to handle repetitive hand motions during hand soldering tasks and flexibility to work in both seated and standing positions.
Work Schedule: 2nd shift, Monday to Friday, from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, offering a starting wage of $22.00 per hour with overtime opportunities actively encouraged.
