The University of Minnesota Physicians seeks a distinguished board-certified/eligible Ophthalmologist for a full-time position on the ClinicianTrack at the rank of Assistant Professor. This exciting opportunity is part of our esteemed Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Neurosciences, which aims to educate the next generation of eye care professionals, provide exceptional eye care for our patients, and advance vision science through research.

As an Academic Ophthalmologist, you will be responsible for supervising, mentoring, and teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as developing curriculum. Your clinical practice will focus on hospital-based and acute clinic ophthalmology care, with opportunities to engage in academic/scholarly activities as a collaborator or independent researcher.

We are seeking an individual who meets the following qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited ACGME Ophthalmology residency and/or fellowship training program
  • Board eligible/certified with the American Board of Ophthalmology
  • Licensed or ability to obtain the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure
  • Ability to obtain/maintain DEA certification in the State of Minnesota

This role offers a competitive total salary range of $249,647 - $492,450, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and cFTE.
