Job Summary

Cornell Cooperative Extension is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bilingual Nutritionist to join our team as a Community Education Specialist. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the field of nutrition education and community development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive nutrition education programs for diverse adult and youth audiences.
  • Collaborate with program committees, CCE staff, and local, regional, and statewide agencies to advance the SNAP-Ed program's goals.
  • Secure grants and external funding to support program priorities.
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure effective program implementation.
  • Utilize social media and environmental change initiatives to promote behavior change and community engagement.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to community partners and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of program evaluations and assessments.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in nutrition or public health.
  • Proven experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating nutrition education programs.
  • Strong knowledge of nutrition principles, theory, and research.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in grant writing and budget management.
  • Two or more years of experience in Cooperative Extension or similar educational fields.
  • Collaborative experience with researchers, educators, and extension staff.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary range: $69,000 - $73,000 per year.
  • Exempt status with a regular schedule of 40 hours per week.
