Job Title: Occupational Therapist Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team at San Luis Care Center. As an Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping our patients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.

Job Summary:

The Occupational Therapist Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide occupational therapy services to patients. This includes conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans, and implementing interventions to help patients develop, recover, or maintain skills needed for daily living and working.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough and efficient evaluations of patients to determine their needs and develop treatment plans.
  • Implement interventions to help patients achieve their goals, including providing therapy sessions and modifying activities to meet individual needs.
  • Record patient progress and communicate with healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
  • Assist with patient education and training to promote independence and self-care.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of treatment plans.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant or related field.
  • One year of experience as an Occupational Therapist Assistant or related field.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
