Job Overview

FTS, Inc. is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our purchasing department, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of materials, supplies, and services to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Management: Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricing and secure favorable terms.
  • Purchasing and Order Management: Generate and process purchase orders for materials, equipment, and services, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project timelines.
  • Cost Control and Budgeting: Monitor purchasing costs and work with the team to meet budgetary constraints, identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
  • Inventory Management: Track and manage inventory levels for materials, ensuring adequate supply for ongoing projects while minimizing excess stock.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, construction teams, and other departments to ensure material availability and alignment with project timelines.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of purchases, vendor contracts, and pricing agreements, preparing regular reports on purchasing activities, material usage, and inventory status.
  • Problem Solving: Address any discrepancies or issues related to purchasing, including late deliveries, product quality concerns, or pricing discrepancies.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or a related field, with a strong understanding of vendor negotiation and supply chain management.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with materials, products, and services used in home construction, as well as ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills, with excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
