Cloud Native Solution Architect Leader

At Random Bit, we are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Native Solution Architect Leader to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the development of cloud-native solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This is a full-time, remote position with a competitive salary and benefits.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced architect who can provide leadership and subject-matter expertise to development teams. You will design and engineer 100% AWS cloud-native application components, develop solution prototypes, and provide ongoing guidance and coaching to development team members.

The ideal candidate will have a background in large-system application development and design, with proven experience in the design, development, and implementation of cloud application components. Proficiency with object-oriented design principles, software design patterns, and programming languages such as Python and JavaScript is required. Experience with container software, application management, relational databases, and continuous integration and deployment tools is also necessary.

In this role, you will capture implementation patterns into development standards and architecture best practices, conduct code reviews, and provide AWS cloud-native subject-matter expertise to developers. The ability to explain the process of analyzing alternatives during the design of the solution and the reasoning for selecting specific services over other alternatives is essential.

Our team works in a dynamic environment, supporting and working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, efficient cloud-native applications. Strong critical thinking and analytical reasoning skills, along with strong organizational and interpersonal skills, are required for success in this role.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Proficiency with object-oriented design principles and software design patterns
  • Proficiency with object-oriented programming languages: Python, Java, and/or JavaScript
  • Development and deployment experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Experience with container software and application management
  • Exposure to and familiarity with relational databases and SQL
  • Exposure to and familiarity with Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Deployment (CD), Jenkins, and GIT
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical reasoning skills

Please note that public sector experience, preferably in Medicaid or healthcare, is preferred. A Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution is also required.

Additionally, desired certifications include AWS Solution Architect and AWS Developer, with associated practical usage of previously mentioned services.
